Programs: Pre-K
Current research shows that well developed social skills are the basis for success in kindergarten. Accordingly, the pre-k program emphasizes social skills within a frame work of the child’s emerging capacity for industriousness. A combination of free play opportunities is balanced by more structured group activities.
Club time, a unique feature, offers a focused opportunity for concentrated energy on a specific topic. Children choose from a menu of four topics that change monthly.
The wide range of academic skills present at the beginning of the school year are encouraged. Journaling presents time for written language and pictorial skills.
Like at each of the other sites, varied learning materials allow children to learn in their own ways, building on their strengths and posing challenges when appropriate.
For those students who are ready for a longer school day, we offer an extended day program Monday through Thursday until 4:00pm. Participation requires an additional fee.
Ages: 5 to 6 years
Program: Monday through Thursday, 9am to 2:30pm, Friday, 9am to 12:30pm
Tuition: $1,150 per month
