Kindergarten Placement Assistance

When applying to kindergarten in Santa Monica and West Los Angeles, there are many options- from public, to charter, to parochial to the many independent schools. Just as we celebrate the individuality of each child, so is it important to consider their learning style when choosing the next step in their education. The First School provides support in a variety of ways for parents that start the spring before your child is eligible to start the application process.

Each year we have a parent’s kindergarten information session with alumni who attend a wide range of area schools. They provide guidance and speak to the parents about first hand experiences.

Throughout the search and application process, Kim makes herself available to share her deep knowledge of and various relationships with the local public and private elementary schools to help each family find the best fit for both child and family. Kim makes a point of spending time in the classroom, getting to know each child and each child’s style of learning so that she can provide appropriate feedback to families seeking a good fit for the next step in their education.
