“What I remember most from my time as a preschooler at The First School is not a single moment or event, but a feeling—a deep sense of happiness and freedom to explore and create. My shoes were often filled with sand, my clothes splattered with paint, my legs tired from riding trikes, and my heart energized by the friendships I made. Now, returning to The First School as a parent, I see the intentionality behind its philosophy, the thoughtful structure of each day, and the rich learning experiences our children enjoy. Here, kids are given meaningful and safe opportunities to take risks, explore their interests, and find their voice.

“Reflecting on my own transition to Kindergarten, my parents shared that I did so confidently because I’d been given the space to navigate friendships and develop a love of learning. I see that same readiness in my daughter now as she heads to kindergarten this fall, her confidence and curiosity shaped by her time at The First School. Having Teacher Kim as both my teacher and my daughter’s has been a gift that has beautifully tied our experiences together, and one that we’ll never forget. What I remember most from my time as a preschooler at The First School is not a single moment or event, but a feeling—a deep sense of happiness and freedom to explore and create.
